Health and Physical Education

Physical Education at our school is supported by a Physical Education specialist teacher. All grades have 2 x 40 minute sessions each week. The emphasis is on skill development and the need to be active.

Foundation to Grade 2 students cover the skills needed in ball handling, minor games, basic gymnastics, dance and athletics. They also participate in a swimming program each year which is held at the Kilsyth Centenary Pool.

Grades 3-6 students cover the skills needed for athletics/cross-country, major games (football, netball, volleyball, cricket, softball/t-ball], gymnastics and dance.)

Grade 4-6 are involved in inter-school sport with local schools in the district.

The whole school performs a concert involving dance bi-annually with previous concerts involving The Stomp Dance Company to choreograph and teach our students.
