Support and Enrichment Programs

Yarra Glen Primary School aims to target all students’ learning at their point of need. Classroom programs are differentiated to accommodate different needs, allowing for students to be appropriately supported or extended. MiniLit intervention supports are in place to  improve the literacy skills of students. An Individual Education Plan is developed for each student with learning goals for each learning area. These goals are reviewed and updated throughout the year.

Education Support staff provide extra assistance in each classroom and work with small groups to help build foundation skills and consolidate understandings.

In addition to our support programs, Yarra Glen Primary School also offers a range of enrichment programs, such as Extension Maths, Victorian High Ability Program and G.A.T.E.W.A.Y.S. to extend students who may be working beyond the expected level.
