Wellbeing

Student wellbeing is of utmost importance at Yarra Glen Primary School. Each week, students take part in classroom activities based on the ‘Resilience, Rights and Respectful Relationships’ framework. We also recognise the importance of physical activity to improve mental health as well as physical health. Students participate in daily fitness activities at the beginning of the day, ranging from running, skipping, dancing and bike riding. This allows our students to get moving, socialise and interact with their peers, and come into the classroom ready to learn.

Our wonderful Wellbeing coordinator, Ms. Jessica Amey is available to support staff and students when needed, communicate and liase with families and external support services and prepare resources and professional development for teachers and educational support staff.
